Don’t wait for God to bomb you . . . . .

February 15, 2005

Last night was a different valentines day celebration. It was not a day of frolics, dating, making out, saying something sweet, expressing corny stuff, professing your love and affection. It was not a night of special gift, gimicks, cute antics, cholocates or flowers.

For the whole Philippines it was a tragic day. Valentines day has always been marked as an event not only for couples enjoying themselves but also by families getting together and doing stuff. Now, February 14, 2005 will be remembered as another terrorist’s event showcasing there talents in killing people. Yes, a dozen were killed, numerous were injured and countless lives have been horrified by these recent events.

I have been wondering all my life why there are ideologies measuring up to these terroristic activities just to be heard? Why do these deranged individuals want to inflict casualties on their fellow Filipino citizens? Why would you kill non combatants who are on their way home from work, excited to see their family and friends on a day we all believe as an event for love? I have been a rational individual all my life. I have looked at all sides from an objective stand point. But these acts, I can never understand and tolerate!

Death and destruction? War? Is this the language you people understand? Who will we blame this time? Ourselves? The government? Don’t tell me we will again include other nations as well. If you are fighting for a cause, so are we. We are all trying to make a living. Everybody who died and was injured on this event was fighting for a noble reason, their quest for a comfortable life. Isn’t that reason enough for their struggle to be respected and never be caught in a cross fire of a decade long conflict?

As I was driving along EDSA, I cannot imagine the horror that the families and relatives of these people have. I cannot even digest the motive you have for such an act.
Isn’t this an example of a war crime? Don’t you consider this as genocide? This is the same as that of Hitler in World War II. You are destroying people who are not fighting you. You are killing innocent lives. Lives that are also trying to feed their family and children. Lives that are trying to achieve their goals and ambitions. I tell you, it was never our fault that we were born this way, with this way of life, with this culture and with these beliefs. And in no way can you force us to think in the same manner as how you people are thinking.

Don’t think that we despise you because of your different perspective but neither should you despise us. The activities that you did was never the will of God. You are trying to play God yourself. If you do not fear or respect the sovereign laws that were created to govern this land, then you are in trouble. Because the voice of the people is the voice of GOD!. Never has violence been the voice of the Lord!

Don’t wait for God to bomb you! Don’t wait for the innocent blood that you spilled hunt you down! Because there is a weapon more potent than bullets, bombs, knives, or mortars. It is the will and the resolve of the Filipino People!

Yesterday was supposed to be a day filled with love when it became disheartening because of what happened. When I heard about the news I feel for those who were in the bus because first thing that came into my mind was that they were all on their way to their loved ones. Oh.. it is a sudden and disturbing point again in our history anyway, I like this blog. It’s so you and I am pretty sure anyone can relate. Thank you.. Keep it up!!

Sometimes I feel that we are living in a dangeous era, in an age where there are men and women whom we see everyday that are so morally inept and so lacking in conscience that they become like animals, and whose instincts have become so primal that their concept of good and bad has become black and white, without the gray matters.

The perpetrators of the Valentine's Day Bombing incident do not even deserved any breathe of mention for they are the scum of this world, the modern plague that affect us like no other.

Certainly, the Lord will throw them into the vicious fire when they face Him in judgement.
