I miss my dad.
Today would have been his 55th Birthday. Memories, memories and memories. I have lots of them actually. Honestly, I am continuously saddened by the fact that he never had the chance to see what me and my sister have become.
He always referred to his family as the pride of his life. I can still recall my mom, my sister and I preparing a present for him on his birthday. After waking up in the morning, we would surprise him with our gifts. Then he would also surprise us by telling us that he had filed a vacation leave so that we could all be together.
Those were fun times. I miss those happy moments with my dad.
Now that I am a family man myself, I hope he could be here to see his FIRST GRANDCHILD. My loving wife has always told me that daddy was always watching over us. Just like mommy, I know he would be very excited to see my FIRST BORN!
I really do miss my old man. It has been years but still, the pain still lives on. . .
